Terms of Service

By accessing or using PrepVid (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use PrepVid.

PrepVid is a video pre-production workspace that uses AI to help creators research topics, build structured outlines, write scripts section by section, and present them via a built-in teleprompter. AI features consume credits; the Service offers a free trial and paid subscription plans.

You sign in to PrepVid with a Google account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@prepvid.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, deceptive, or that infringes the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, probe, or disrupt the Service, or access it by automated means other than the interfaces we provide.
• Circumvent credit limits, abuse free-trial grants (for example, by creating multiple accounts), or misuse promotions.
• Resell, sublicense, or share access to the Service without our written permission.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

You retain ownership of the ideas, outlines, scripts, and other content you create or upload to PrepVid ("Your Content"). You grant PrepVid a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including sending it to the AI providers described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train AI models without your explicit consent.

You are responsible for Your Content and must have the rights necessary to use it with the Service.

AI-generated scripts and research are provided as-is. AI can make mistakes: output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to output generated for other users. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying output before publishing or filming. PrepVid does not guarantee that output is factually correct, original, or free from third-party intellectual property claims.

• Free trial credits. New accounts receive 100 free credits. Trial credits expire 30 days after they are granted, have no monetary value, and are non-refundable.
• Subscription credits. Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance. Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle; unused credits do not carry over.
• Credit costs per feature are shown in the app and may change over time.

Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle, which handles checkout, billing, and applicable taxes. By purchasing, you also agree to Paddle's terms.

• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation stops future charges and your plan remains active until the end of the current period.
• Pricing. Prices are shown in the app at the time of purchase. We will give you advance notice of price changes, which take effect at your next renewal.
• Refunds. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which includes a 3-day refund window for new subscriptions under certain conditions.

The Service itself — including its software, design, branding, and all content we provide other than Your Content — is owned by PrepVid and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use the PrepVid name, logo, or branding.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. You may stop using the Service or request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@prepvid.app. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections 5, 6, 9, 11, and 12 survive termination.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. PREPVID DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PREPVID SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. PREPVID'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR USD $50 IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the Service.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and PrepVid regarding the Service.
