Privacy Policy

PrepVid ("we", "us", "our") operates the video pre-production workspace at prepvid.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. For privacy questions, contact us at support@prepvid.app.

Account data — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password.

Content you create — ideas, outlines, scripts, research inputs, and any other text you enter into the Service.

Billing data — if you purchase a plan, our payment processor Paddle collects your payment details. We never see or store your full card number; we receive only what we need to manage your subscription, such as your plan, billing status, and transaction history.

Usage data — pages visited, features used, credit consumption, error logs, and basic device information (such as browser type and IP address) recorded in our server logs.

Local storage — we store an authentication token in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• To process AI generation requests on your behalf.
• To manage your subscription, credits, and billing.
• To send transactional emails (e.g., waitlist updates, billing receipts).
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data or content to third parties, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

When you generate scripts or research, your input is sent to third-party AI providers (including Anthropic) to produce a response. These providers may retain inputs and outputs for a limited period for abuse monitoring, in accordance with their own policies. We do not use your content to train AI models without your explicit consent, and our providers do not train on API data by default.

Purchases are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. When you check out, Paddle processes your payment information under its own privacy policy. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

We share data only with:

• Service providers — cloud hosting and infrastructure, AI providers (Section 4), our payment processor (Section 5), and email delivery — each bound by confidentiality obligations and only given what they need to perform their service.
• Law enforcement — when required by valid legal process.
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, which must honor this policy.

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Billing records may be retained longer where required for tax, accounting, or legal purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@prepvid.app; we will process requests within 30 days.

Your data may be processed in countries other than where you live, including the United States, where our infrastructure and AI providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS, encrypted storage, and access controls. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.

PrepVid is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Depending on your location (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@prepvid.app. We will respond within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
